We met Carol & Bob in Brittany in August 2007 whilst staying on a park home, we made friends straight away. We were good friends for the next 13 months until, due to Bobs illness, they moved back to the UK. My wife & I are in our sixties so were on the same wave lenght as Carol & Bob. After leaving the park home whenever we called on them they made us more welcome than anyone could expect & always had some cold beers in the fridge in case we called. We always had a good chat & Bobs stories never bored us, he was a brilliant conversationist, but Carol was definately on a par. They were unasuming, unpretentious & absolutely delightful to be with. Unfortuantly we don't have enough memories of them. We were so looking forward to returning to the UK & seeing Carol. Keri, we read your beautiful eulogy & both cried. We are so unhappy that we will never have the pleasure of seeing your lovely parents again. It would be nice one day to meet you & Shean as we are shure you both have their qualities. We wish we could have been there during her illness & also to pay our respects to her at her funeral. Carol once said to us that we were her & Bobs best friends & I can tell you that we felt the same. It is not often that a couple get on well with another couple, but we certainly did.
